About
Built in Lahore, on a bar we refuse to lower.
Avexo was built to prove that the constraint on offshore engineering was never talent — it was seniority, timezone and accountability. We fixed those three, and we take work in whichever shape it arrives: engineers inside your team, or a project we build and hand over.
Why this company exists.
Pakistan produces more capable engineers each year than its own market can absorb. The usual route out is an agency that sells those engineers by the hour, as cheaply as possible, to buyers who are shopping on price. That model works — it has built companies of several thousand people — and it has a ceiling. It cannot sell judgement, because judgement is not cheaper in Lahore than in London.
What is cheaper is the cost of living. A senior engineer here can be paid extremely well by local standards and still cost a US startup less than half a domestic contractor. That gap is real, and it is not a discount on quality. Everything about how we operate is designed to make it visible: named engineers, published rates, a trial with a real exit, and a review process that reports against us.
Our senior core is eight people, each anchoring a discipline, and behind them is a bench of 40+ vetted engineers we staff from. Every one of the eight talks to clients directly. There is no sales team, and the person who takes your first call has written production code this year.

How we got here.
- 2023
Three engineers and one client
We started because a US founder asked Muhammad Tahseen whether he knew two engineers who could work American mornings. He did. That engagement is still running.
- 2024
The shifted day became a rule
We stopped treating overlap as something to negotiate per engagement and made a shifted day a condition of employment, then added a second shift for West Coast clients — both paid for with a premium over local market.
- 2025
Independent review, added deliberately
After a placement drifted for six weeks before anyone raised it, we built a monthly review by a lead outside the engagement, reporting to the client rather than to us.
- 2026
A bigger bench, the same bar
The bench passed forty engineers this year while the senior core stayed at eight. We also turned down two volume contracts that would have required hiring below our bar — growth that dilutes the bench is the one thing that would break the model.
Four things we will not trade away.
Written as behaviour rather than adjectives, so you can tell when we have broken one.
Say the expensive thing early
The honest assessment of a project is worth more than the engagement it costs us. We have told three prospects their problem was a fortnight's work rather than a team, and one of them came back with a pod.
Seniority over headcount
We would rather place one engineer who can make decisions than three who need direction. It is better for the client, and it is the only way a firm our size competes with one of eight hundred.
Measure, then argue
A number your team agrees on ends most engineering disagreements. We build the measurement before the improvement, on models, on latency and on cost.
Take the work in whatever shape it arrives
Some clients need an engineer in their standup; others need someone to take the whole thing away and come back with software. We do both rather than force a client into the arrangement that suits us, and we say which one we would buy in your position.
Nothing held hostage
Code, credentials, documentation and decisions live with the client from the first commit. We want to be kept because leaving would be a loss, not because it would be difficult.
Who owns what.
Delivery and modelling are led by Muhammad Tahseen and Bushra between them. The rest anchor a discipline each. You will deal with these people directly, whatever the size of the engagement.
